Texting Polls

What was asked of us was "Does anyone have a cellphone?"
reluctantly we've denied but we did admit to having it in our possession
Next we were asked to go our gmail inbox and open various links from: www.polleverywhere.com/
and then we texted our answer either if we did one certain thing or not. For example, "I will have an H1N1 vaccination" and the choices were Yes, No, or Not Sure. Immediately, once the text was sent, we see the polls increase/decrease depending on the answers. Although, some students did not have cell phones in their possession therefore could not participate in the voting.

If the cell phone was used for everyday classes to participate (voting, research, ect.), then the ban on cell phones within schools should be lifted. Although, students may have to change their plan to free texting in order to text freely
